Psychologists conducted a study where both adults and children were more quickly able to detect images of snakes and spiders from a wide assortment of non-threatening organisms such as frogs, flowers or caterpillars.
Read on to find out the horrifying moment when a man was found inside of a snake.
The common perception of a snake approaching you at your most vulnerable moment, such as in a shower or slithering up a toilet bowl is regularly portrayed in the media.
But some of the most dangerous snakes on planet Earth can strike in a tenth of a second and can kill 10 humans with the amount of venom they store. These vicious slithering killers have caused the most human deaths including the Saw-scaled viper, the King cobra, the Tiger snake, the inland Taipan and the Black Mamba.
But this story might justify any ‘abnormal’ fear of snakes since a grown man was discovered inside the stomach of a 23-foot Python.
Although Pythons are generally non-venomous, some of the most poisonous snakes on this planet include the Indian Big Four, the King cobra, the Terciopelo viper, the inland taipan and the Eastern brown snake just to name a few.
In a secluded village in the island of West Sulawesi in Indonesia, a man’s intact corpse was discovered inside a Python by a friend of his.
The video, which is quite graphic, emerged showcasing a group of people dragging the deceased man from the innards of the snake. The python was cut open using a knife.
Akbar Salubria went to work and didn’t return. After two days of being reported missing, a search party composed of his family and friends was created. They didn’t know the horror they were about to witness.
The search party didn’t have to look for long when they discovered a rather bloated Python in Akbar’s back garden. After the horrible realization took place, they took on the task of retrieving his body.
One of Akbar’s friends used an 18-inch hunting knife in order to cut open the gigantic snake.
As the friend carefully slit open the snake (as to preserve the potential remains of his friend) it was soon quite obvious that Akbar had been swallowed whole.
His shoes were the first to be identified and as the friend continued cutting open the snake, the rest of his intact body was discovered as his legs, midsection and upper body was soon revealed.
Akbar’s wife, Munu, who was away at the time of his strangulation only realized her husband’s death after seeing pictures and videos on the news.
Salubiro Junaidi, who is the secretary of the village, said that: ‘People had heard cries from the palm grove the night before Akbar was found in the snake’s stomach.’
He continued on by saying that: ‘When the snake was captured, the boots Akbar was wearing were clearly visible in the stomach of the snake. A resident cut open the belly of the snake and Akbar was lifeless.’
The Python that is thought to have killed him is a reticulated python which is a non-venomous constrictor.
It captures its prey by wrapping its huge body around the victim and suffocating them. The Python then proceeds to swallow the prey whole.
