As you know, getting the first ultrasound is an exhilarating experience. Not only do the parents-to-be get to see their baby for the first time, they can often learn if the baby is a boy or a girl.
But getting an ultrasound can be an intimidating experience. What if the baby isn’t healthy? What if something is wrong? What if there little heart isn’t beating like it should?
So when things turn out perfectly, parents couldn’t be happier. But sometimes they get a surprise that knocks them off their chair. Below, you’ll see a video of an ultrasound that one couple got that even the doctors weren’t prepared for.

As this couple went in for their 14-week ultrasound, they had no idea what to expect. Mom was nervous as heck. Dad was trying his best to be supportive but of course he felt a lot of anxiety as well. Mom lied down on the chair and the doctor lathered her abdomen with the lubricating jelly.
Then he took the device and placed it against her stomach. No one could have guessed this was about to happen…
Then the doctor showed them that their baby was perfectly happy. They were delighted. The little guy was there and they could even see the fetus’s hands.
But mom and dad never expected the baby to be so happy as well!
As if the baby understood that it was being watched, the little tyke started clapping its hands. Never before had the doctor seen a baby in the womb do something like this — EVER.
When the parents and doctor saw what was happening, they couldn’t help but sing along.

Throughout the entire sing along you can see the baby going back and forth clapping its hands inside of mom’s womb. Dad and mom can’t help but laugh at the incredible moment.
It’s amazing that this baby was able to lead its parents in the sing along. We’re confident this baby is going to be a great musician or conductor someday.
