If Anyone Tells You Destiny Doesn’t Exist, Direct Them To This Article

A young couple from Zhejiang, China, were going through their childhood photos for their May wedding when the wife-to-be, Lu Yiquin, stumbled upon a familiar picture. Lu Yiquin noticed a person in a red coat in the background of her soon-to-be-husband’s photo.

Zhang visited the Giant Buddha statue at Ling Shan Mountain in the year 2000, when he was 14.

Bride Yiqin Lu looked at the picture that her mum had taken at the same location and was amazed.

She looked a little closer, at the woman in a red coat in the background… and realized it was her mother.

Mummy Lu confirmed this by digging out an old holiday snap herself. There she is, complete with red coat:

That’s my mum!”‘ said Lu of the moment the penny dropped.

‘My husband thought I was over-reacting. Then I said again, “this is really my mum”‘.

Lu’s mum, who just happened to be staying with the couple at the time, confirmed that she had indeed visited the tourist attraction with family during the Chinese New Year.

And to top it all off, both families had even kept hold of their ticket stubs from the day – and, yes, the dates matched up.

The photos was taken 15 years before they met, and apparently both families had used the same bus company and traveled in the same bus to the historical site.

The husband had been understandably flabbergasted, and Hangzhou Daily reported that he said:

Although we didn’t know each other then, the skies must’ve planned this for us 16 years ahead of time.
