Google Translate Warns of APOCALYPSE With Bizarre ‘End Times’ Message About The Antichrist

Don’t bother making plans for Christmas, because we’ve had the clearest sign of the apocalypse yet – straight from the machine that knows everything, the Google. Google Translate has been spitting out some frankly ominous translations (if you type in weird stuff like misspelt words or the word ‘dog’ repeatedly). One chilling translation said, ‘Doomsday Clock is three minutes at twelve We are experiencing characters and a dramatic developments in the world, which indicate that we are increasingly approaching the end times and Jesus’ return.’

Google is rapidly adjusting Translate so the weird translations seem to disappear soon after discovery – but fans keep finding alarming stuff. If you type in the words, ‘Are you self aware?’ slightly misspelled, Google Translate comes out with ‘There are some things you can do.’

Another glitch comes out with ‘As you please,’ in reply to a misspelled version of, ‘Please let me die.’

The bizarre message was first discovered by users on Reddit, several of whom described it as “creepy”.

But it gets even more sinister if you reduce the number of times you type “dog”, as several Reddit users spotted.

Instead of talking about the return of Jesus, Google Translate instead delivers a message about how the Antichrist will soon appear.

The message originally worked on Hawaiian-to-English translation too, but it seems to have now been fixed.

So what does it all mean?

The Doomsday Clock is a symbolic clock that represents how close we are to the end of the world.

It specifically relates to a man-made catastrophe – like global warming or the threat of global nuclear war.

It started off back in 1947 at seven minutes to midnight, and has since been set backwards and forwards a further 23 times – courtesy of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists’ Science and Security Board.

Despite what Google’s message suggests, the clock is set at an even more terrifying two minutes to midnight.

The apocalypse is midnight, and the clock is regularly adjusted to show how many minutes to midnight (or the end times) we are.

It’s been dubbed, ‘TranslateGate’ on Reddit – so what’s really happening here?

Experts believe it’s to do with the fact that Google switched Translate over to a new system using a neural net, an AI system which ‘learns’ how to translate from passages of existing text. Experts suggest that it may have been ‘trained’ using passages from the Bible – hence some of the more doom-laden passages, according to The Register.

The weird translations tend to pop up with relatively obscure languages, such as Yoruba, because the machine doesn’t have many translations to work with. So, sorry, doomsday fans – it looks like you’ll have to wait at least another few months before our Earth is cleansed in fire and Jesus returns.
