There are few things as comforting as a loving embrace, and these dogs in Thailand couldn’t agree more!
Messy, a laid-back yellow Lab, lives with his mom Oranit Kittragul and enjoys hanging out in their fenced-in yard.
Across the street is a Husky named Audi, another pup who spends a lot of his time outside. But when his humans are away at work, sometimes Audi needs a friend.
“When he feels lonely and cries, I always ask my dog to see and talk to him. My dog just looks from my fence and sometime he barks to [Audi]. I don’t know what they are communicating, but he stops crying.”
The canines’ company is usually enjoyed at a distance, but one day, an opportunity arose. Audi’s family didn’t latch the gate completely – and the pup escaped!
Luckily, he didn’t go too far. When Audi made a break for it, there was only one place he wanted to go: across the street to greet his best buddy! When he got up to the fence, the two reached out to give each other a hug.
Once their meeting was over, Audi safely returned home, but it won’t be the last time he sees his buddy, Messy! It’s so wonderful that these adorable dogs have found comfort and friendship in each other.
Given the connection between them, we hope the dogs’ owners will make arrangements for them to regularly get together to socialize face-to-face — but in the meantime, it’s heartening to know Messy’s kindness toward Audi has already blossomed into a beautiful friendship.
