Notice something interesting about the boy in the picture above? Had it not been for the flash of a camera, Taylor Treadwell’s parents wouldn’t have detected the boy’s cancer. But they saw the odd glow in his right eye and took him to the hospital. The results? A large tumor on his right eye and three smaller ones on his left. He suffered retinoblastoma.

Four months of chemotherapy later and his cancer was in remission. Unfortunately, the cancer did damage to his right eye that modern medicine cannot repair.
